Yolanda and The Band

Yolanda was the background vocalist for Luther Vandross and Cherl Lynn.  A native of Pittsburgh, Yolanda began her singing career at age 16. She moved to Los Angeles at 19 to start her recording career and then toured Japan. Yolanda completed a recording for Jermaine Jackson which is featured on his “Dynamite” album.

Yolanda has been back in the Pittsburgh Jazz and R&B circuit for the past six years. She won the Pittsburgh “Best Vocalist” radio competition and has opened for Aretha Franklin and Little Richard. Additionally, Yolanda recorded the soundtrack for the movie “Temptations” and is currently working with the Temptations on their latest project. She landed a job with Carnival Cruise Line first as a production singer and later to have her own show with music from the 70s, 80s, and 90’s.
